Life has been crazy and a lot was going on, good and bad. And I want to share it here not for lots of people to see (as if my life or whatever is fascinating to know) but for my future self. Memories to keep.

1. Work especially paper works ate 70% of my time. I've spent sleepless nights and shed a river of tears just to finish all the IEP's, Reports, and Curriculum for my students. Being a SPED teacher is not easy as pie!
2. For the first time in my life, I became an emcee. It was a nerve wracking but quite a nice experience.
3. Saying good bye to my students was the hardest part. I cried like a baby during the moving up ceremony.
4. So I decided to apply as a public school teacher. I had demo teaching, English proficiency test, and interview.
5. It's a surreal feeling to watch one of my favorite books come to life, and I must say the series is better than the books.
6. I love the fact that my sisters-in-law and I are pretty much close now.
7. I was rank 6 in the RQA. After the results went out I was busy complying with all the requirements.
8. Lately, I've been living a life away from the internet, enjoying the little things like reading books, gardening and spending time with my loved ones.
9. I just finished watching Goblin. It's an amazing intro to the K-drama world. I'm in lo e with Gong Yoo!
10. Lazy days are the best

I received a text from a friend that she too is suffering from what i'm going through. So without any plans, we decided to go somewhere to find the right path:

During Fridays, I share how my day is and what are the things I do during this day. That's why this blog series is called TGIF.

Today is the 27th of February, it means today is holiday. *Insert happy dance*. Hahaha. Well, for us residing here in GenSan at least. Every year our city celebrates the Kalilangan Festival or the foundation anniversary of the city.

If you expect me going out cos it's holiday blah blah, no, I just spent my day at home relaxing and at the same time doing some productive things (well sort of). What can I say, i'm an introvert.

Here's how I spent my holiday and how I make the most of it:

• I spent my morning gardening. I transferred some of my plants and admire them while drinking milk tea. Gardening has been very therapeutic for me lately. This is the grandma in me talking!
• For lunch, I just ordered pizza cos pizza is always a good idea and i'm craving for one. But no, really I was just too lazy to cook. Hahaha.
• I did some laundry and bathe Dashy.
• And the best part is... I made some mango float! Yaaay! 
• To compensate for my laziness during lunch, I cooked dinner for the family. I'm awesome like that. Lol

That's it. Nothing special, nothing grand, But it's the mundane and little things that make me the happiest. Ordinary day with my main and my fury babies.

From teaching and being sick for a week, life has been quite distressing. Amidst, I am still thankful for the little wonderful moments that happened and came this month and last month. Here are the highlights:

1. Plant shopping and spontaneous bonding with my friend, Mariel. I must say I was in awe with those succulents but they’re so expensive. huhu. But I bought a smaller one for an affordable price. hehe


2. My Halloween reads consist of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Pecuiliar Children and Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. Plus i’m lovin the skulls deco I bought from Daiso. It brought me to the Halloween feels!


3. Going back to my first love: Reading! And getting more and more in love with it.


4. Poetry filled my mind with positivism one afternoon. I got lucky to score this Desiderata book in a secondhand book shop. Yey!


5. My fairy garden finally comes to life! I just can’t believe that it’s possible and I was really giddy and ecitd. I am forever proud of this work of mine. :)


6. Lullabies finally arrived in my doorstep and I can’t stop being mesmerized by Lang Leav’s words. Thank you @bookfordables!


7. For long I stopped myself from downloading an ebook of Isla and the Happily Ever After tho it was very (very very very) tempting. I just have to get a copy for myself. I… Just… Have… To.. The wait was worth it! I read it twice and believe me I still have a hangover from reading this book! I love ya Stephanie Perkins!


8. A surprise came! I received a handwritten letter from my cousin in Iloilo. I just love receiving surprise letters and postcards. I can’t wait to send her a letter too!


9. I received a bunch of postcards too from different people around the globe. With the internet and chat sites, I think it’s really important that we go back to the basics of communicating. It’s just lovely receiving handwritten letters, yeah? DOn’t you agree? :)

My last two months were mostly filled with books and letters/package delivered by the mailman. And of course everyday facetime with my one true love. Life has been good to me this year and 2015 looks promising. My the odds be ever in our (that means you the one reading this and me) favor next year!

I love Fridays! Aren’t we all are?I :) These past few Fridays have been quite busy and other days than that. Though there are days that I feel lazy and unmotivated, I still do my best to get my shit done. Today is different, I had a bit of a laid back day…

1. After my photo gig, my dearest friend Mariel and I had a lunch date at my new favorite bistro, Rozen Garden Bistro. The food is superb and very much affordable, and of course the aura is vintage and homey. 


2. We had a book window shopping and we had a really fun time scanning books we can relate to. And then I saw this baby! I was really heart broken cos I’m kinda broke so it’s impossible for this book to be mine. Sad :(


3. I’m in love with my succulents and cacti! Though I think my hands are cursed when it come to growing plants, alas i’m trying. Oh babies please don’t die on me!


4. Spending my afternoon reading If I stay and playing games plus iced coffee, What a lovely thing to end the day. :)

• Lately, the weather in GenSan are so bipolar. This afternoon the rain suddenly poured down. So I decided to stay in our front porch and watch the rain. I love rain!


• I made myself coffee and some pancakes. The pancakes are not that appealing to look at, but trust me it’s delish! :) What made it delish?  Eggs and milk! I ate while admiring the rain and while visiting some of my favorite blogs.


• I am currently reading: The Abundance of Katherines by John Green. So far i’m lovin it!


• Spent my afternoon with these two monsters. As usual they keep on fighting. I don’t know what to do with them anymore, Paris is such a b! I badly want them to be bff’s! 


• When the rain stopped, I went to the mall to meet my best friend. Cos we just have to try this newly opened Jelly CiTea, it was their last day for free upsize! It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it’s really yummy! :) And lastly, I ended up buying If I stay by Gale Forman so now i’m totally broke and i’m on book ban! :(

I ran for 2 rounds then decided to go home, feeling regretful and thinking I should have done what I should way back. But they say, don’t cry over spilled milk. There’s a reason for it all.

5 & 6. My babies! They keep on fighting and it makes me craaaaazy sometimes, but i love them still.

7. I went through impacted tooth surgery last week. It was really painful, and my face was bloated! I also can’t eat decent food for days. I have had 2 surgeries in my life, and the 2nd one is just tooth but i don’t care, i’m so proud of myself.

8. I finished reading Anna and the French Kiss, and I just love it! Reading tragic books made me a bit depressed, so I have the in dire need to read a feel good book. Also, I finished Lola and the Boy Next Door and I love it too! I’m surprised to read that Anna is there too!

9. Coffee date with my love at Post Coffeehouse again. He wanted to visit the place so we went there. It was the night before he left for Manila. 😭

10. It’s been 5 days since he left for Kuwait, and I miss him so much!!! I miss this smile! It’ll be months before I see this smile again.
