The Wallflower Cafe + OOTD
Sunday, June 19, 2016
It was scorching hot but despite the hot and humid weather, my best friend Jessa and I bravely went outside to try this cafe which I discovered through facebook. From the name itself, Walflower Cafe, it's very inviting.
From the Manga books in their bookshelf, menu, interior, to the waitress' costume or uniform. It seems that the owner loves Manga which is really something new and unique. I've always thought that the word 'wallflower' is a hipster word or something, it turns out that it actually came from Manga.
Surprisingly, my OOTD is in theme with the cafe cos i'm wearing kimono.
We ordered these potion drinks, burger, potato wedges, and fruits with ice cream on top. The burger and fruits with ice cream tastes good but the potions not so much. What I like about this cafe is that everything is affordable! Plus I love that they're giving free tea. I would recommend this cafe to high school and college students as well those who are in a tight budget who are in need of a quiet place to study or relax.
After my first experience, I went back to this place a couple of times since it's near the school i'm teaching. I even brought my husband here for lunch!

I never knew that the word Wallflower came from Manga. I thought that it was a hipster word or something. Did the workers or owner explained why they named it 'The Wallflower Cafe'? If only this is near, I'd love to bring my boyfriend here who loves anime and manga. Plus, the free tea is a bonus. I love how they decorated the burger. It's so cute! :)

Same here. I dunno. Maybe it has different meaning depending on the country. Sadly, I think the owner wasn't there when we visited the place. Their food does have cute presentation :)
DeleteOhh! A Wallflower Cafe, a great place to spill the Wallflower Secrets haha. I haven't been to cafes lately. Hope I can visit this one someday.

I love the name of the cafe! It looks so cute and inviting, indeed. Makes me want to visit a (non-mainstream) cafe soon.
