College Girl by Sheila Grace

I was intrigued with this book that’s why I downloaded it. I was thinking maybe it’s a bit Ezra-Aria kinda story, but it after reading the second chapter I've concluded that it’s a twilight-ish and fifty shade-ish kind of story.
This book has sex written all over it, yes, a lot of sex scenes in almost every chapter. You’ll have a roller coaster ride while reading it. Why? Cos the 2 characters are confused of what they want and their indecision to be together or not. But I love the POV’s of the character in each chapter, it gave me a chance to look into both Alex and Ryan’s perspective and feelings. The ending kept me hanging though, maybe there will be a part 2 of this book? Overall, this book is okay and I would rate it 2.5 over 5.

FIfty Shades Trilogy by EL James

Who doesn't know about this trilogy, right? It’s kind of a hype now and girls go cray about the upcoming movie of these books. So I decided to join the bandwagon. I have soft copy of these books, and I bought it at Fullybooked online months ago but I just read it over the vacation. At first I’m not really interested with this, I just bought it out of curiosity cos people said on facebook that it’s really good. Maybe that’s why it took me long to finally decide to read it. Idk.
When i’m about to read it, I was disappointed cos my cousin said this trilogy is a sex book. And I agree with her, it’s mainly a porn book. I even decided to sell it, but no one was interested in facebook. But at the long run, I quite liked the story. Except for the sex scenes which I mostly skip reading, some of the sex scenes were more disgusting than tantalizing. Anyway, what I like about these books is how the author was playing with words. It enhanced my vocabulary, I even wrote down all the peculiar words with its corresponding meaning.
Even though the book is purely a rip-off of Twilight the thing that makes it edgier than the said book is its more realistic/dreamy way of presentation. But it’s still too-good-to-be-true, you don’t get to score a guy who’s hot and rich plus who’ll be head over heels with you, those guys are extinct! Believe me, I love the story except for the inner goddess of Ana, Christian being a sadist, and the playroom! But I love how the characters grow as a person and as a couple. How Christian is bossy and the way he cares for Ana, how he’s good looking yet a philanthropist, and how he’s crazy about Ana and giving her the world. Who wouldn’t want that? It makes you long for your own Christian Grey. I would rate it 4 over 5.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer Smith

I was intrigued with this book because of its cover, it’s quite catchy. This was my companion when I traveled to Ilocos. Yes, I bring a book every time I travel. The title is loooooooong really, and in my opinion it does not have that much significance or even related to the story.
This book is the typical, girl-meets-boy love story. It’s cute, sweet, and fluffy kind of story. It was sweet with a touch of bitter reality and a happy ending.  It’s also the story of family, hurt, disappointment and above all second chances. Imagine how much could happen in four minutes? That’s great. That’s a great starting point. Falling in love at an airport, trading life stories, attending a wedding, crashing a funeral, the intensity of love in only 24 hours… Although I was a little disappointed that the romance wasn’t featured as much as I’d been led to believe, I still enjoyed this book. It makes you wonder if you’ll have a chance of meeting someone at the airport that you’ll immediately connect with. I rated this book 4 over 5.

Out of the three I guess I'll only be liking this book, since the other two is much.. eh. Can't agree with you more, you wrote what I feel so precisely. Haha

    1. That's cool! Don't worry E. Lockart will have her book signing soon and there will be a lot of authors that will visit Ph. Gosh you are so lucky! Most of the authors visiting PH are having their book signing there in Cebu. If only plane tickets are as cheap as jeepney fare. haayyy.

  4. I haven't read all of these books and I'm not really planning on reading 50 Shades of Grey. :( I have a lot of friends who got disappointed in the movie and I would find it awkward if my family would see me reading it, especially due to the fact that I always read aloud. :)) I'm not gonna be comfortable reading it. The only lewd book I'm really interested in reading is The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty and its series. :)

I would love to read the last one you shared with us though! I saw a few copies at National Bookstore and I might buy it soon after reading all my eBooks. xx
